Apocalyptic 7 & Apocalyptic 8

Updated: Apr 25, 2021

Getting to know me a little better

I have two sons David and Joshua who support me to the best of their ability. They are partial to their mother, but no mama's boys. We are all Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do and are certified lethal weapons according to Seoul Korea. I will add that my oldest son David is a Second Degree/Instructor. I wanted them to protect themselves and get discipline and structure, but I also wanted them to see that mom could do it too. So, I joined and did class with them. It was difficult, but we did it as a family, and that was the most important thing.

Apocalyptic 7 & 8

Writing the Apocalyptic 7-Salvations' Cry was probably the most fun I've had with characters and creating who they are as individuals and a team. When I was writing Unconditional Counsel, I had a dream that I printed out five names in some military program. I was going to call it Apocalyptic 10 originally, but when I started writing, I knew God had me change it to Seven to coincide with scripture and the significance of it being the number of completion. I love reading the Apocrypha; the Book of Enoch, Jasher, and Revelations. I believe that's why this story went this way.

Deciding to write Apocalyptic 8 was a natural evolution and conclusion to the story. I think too, as a Christian, our hope through all our trials and tribulation, we hear Well Done when our lives down here are over. A7 follows their missions from the Holy Scriptures. A8 uses scripture, but I believe this second book is more imagination, but it also follows scripture to a certain extent. I hope you enjoy these books; I look to release A7 this year, and hopefully, A8 next year, 2022, Lord willing.

The Apocalyptic 7—SalvationsCry (A7) are on a journey of discovery, who they are as individuals and as a team. They must learn to trust each other, trust themselves and most of all, put their faith and trust in God. Their mission: ‘The Little Horn They Must Find—the antichrist’. Dispatched to thwart the Apollyon’s plans to bring about their world domination; along the way, Black Rain, a vigilante group, interrupts their missions. Faith is their only chance of survival through the missions ahead of them. A7 is a fictional story of Epic Battles between God’s earthly warriors for the cross and demonic forces who threaten to destroy the world. It uses scripture-based truths and gives a glimpse into how we have come so far as a society, yet people still don’t believe the Holy Scriptures to be true. Unexplained events taking place around the world are in the Holy Scriptures in plain view, but we know some will be deceived.

Apocalyptic 8-Angels of Heaven's Armies (A8), continues the saga as it surprises A8 to find their missions are not complete. Arc Angel Gabriel the Messenger says, "The God of Heaven's Armies has instructed, you must declare against the Seven Churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodiceans." When Chief Priest Anai Bethlem comes up missing for the second time, A8 discovers the Seven Cell Leaders are targets. They all hold a secret to a written scroll the Apollyon need to find. Within them opens the world to greater destruction before Jesus returns. A8 is the conclusion of the matter. The rapture has come and the trumpets are sounding.

Holy Scriptures used for each book:

A7, Matthew: 4-8; Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying; ‘I am the Christ, and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See, it does not trouble you; for all these things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginnings of sorrow.’

A8, 2nd Corinthians, 12:2-4, 2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. 3 And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—4 was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.

Writing Topic: TIme Management

When a beginning writer receives, thinks up, or God shows you what to write, you need to decide whether you will pursue it. I wouldn't recommend ignoring it all together or not being obedient to what God is calling you to do. I know at first, we're excited, but then the fear sets in; especially if you've never written before. My suggestion to you is to ask yourself, Why Not You, and push past the fear of rejection or not being good enough.

The second thing, and what I really want to talk about, is Time Management. We all have things going on in our lives. I work, have a home life, and ministry. It is a choice to decide that what God has given you to do in this area, MUST BE IMPORTANT. Again, remember, you may not love or have the passion for writing right-away. It may come later, if it's not already there, so my suggestion is to write out a schedule, a weekly schedule. See how you use your time, and whether you use it wisely.

When I started an online workshop, the first thing they tell you to do is write out a schedule. This helps define what kind of time daily and weekly, you have to write. Don't take this exercise lightly. Haphazardly writing will take you longer to complete your project than you want. Not doing this can cause discouragement, and discouragement leads to not finishing. Again, life happens, but there are priorities: God comes first, then your family, and everything else comes after. It's those things that come after your priorities, that we decide what can I sacrifice. It takes sacrifice to write a Devotional or Novel or a Biography. I sometimes have to sacrifice going to a party or watching my favorite tv show. Nowadays, we can go back later to watch the show. You get what I mean.

So, I have attached not only some Motivational Time Management Information, but a Weekly Schedule to start you off.

Writing Resource: ProWritingAid

ProWritingAid (PWA) is a great program. It compares to Grammarly, but I believe PWA has more features. There is a cost, so my suggestion to you is to do your research and find what fits for you as a new writer, blogger, etc. Please view the video to get a look at PWA in action here: https://youtu.be/Nyol75txmcQ

Q & A: How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?

I have a total of four unpublished books, and three half or partly finished books. It is my endeavor to publish all of them. The three books that are unfinished must be completed, and that's where I have to focus my time.
