THE WORD 

 

Ephesians 3:20 - Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,... (So that I, in all things, having all that I need, will abound in every good work...Amen.)

Why is it so hard for us to know God personally? It’s hard because a lot of times we don’t see ourselves like God sees us. Or once He reveals to us who we are, we deny the truth and don’t want to acknowledge our own failures, our own sin and that we truly need a change in our lives and that means accepting a Savior. Our sin separates us from God (Romans 3:23).

Humanity was created to have fellowship with God, but because of sin (i.e., anything that is against the righteousness revealed in God's commandments), Humanity was separated from that fellowship. This means that anything less than being obedient to God’s commands leads us out of fellowship with Him because God’s word says that obedience is better than sacrifice. There are no little or big sin. Sin is sin.

God see's us through the Blood of Jesus. Jesus paid the price for us when he died on the cross (Romans 5:8). Christ’s passionate, unconditional love and forgiving nature took on our burden of sin, which allows us to enter into that desired fellowship if we are obedient to His word and His way. He is the only way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6).

​

It’s not just enough that we as His creation, know these truths. We must repent of our sins and believe in Christ. We can know God personally and experience His love (John 1:12), and fight to the finish. You can receive Jesus Christ right now by faith (Romans 10:9-10).

Here is a prayer to speak and declare that you want Christ as Lord and Savior of your life:

Our Heavenly Father, I am a sinner and I have missed the mark several times. I've said, thought and done things that are not pleasing in your sight that have hindered my relationship with you. I understand that the only way to get to you is through Jesus Christ who is the truth and the life. LORD, your word is final, trustworthy and true and I am nothing apart from you. Lord, I repent of my sins, I forgive those who've sinned against me and I receive your forgiveness right now. I declare right now with my mouth that "Jesus is LORD" and I believe in my heart that you raised Him from the dead, and I believe your word and thank You Lord that I am saved.  My past or present circumstances do not determine my destiny, You do. I thank you for fulfilling your great plan and purpose for my life. From this day forward, I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior, Redeemer and Advocate and I receive every promise that you've given me, as I am your child of covenant. Everything that is out of order in my life, thank you LORD for setting it in order right now, In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
