Christmas Blessings!

Christmas is a time we acknowledge the birth of Christ. It's a time for family, love, friends, and competition. Competition during Christmas is a tradition for the McKinley's and Roland spares no expense to make sure his house is the winner of the Christmas Decoration Contest. The family gathers to enjoy church service, and returns home for the Christmas festivities in their home and on the block they live. Enjoy, Christmas Blessings!

Christmas was always Geneva's favorite time of year. Most of the happiest times in her life happened during this holiday season. She called them her Christmas blessings. Then one fateful holiday she suddenly lost the love of her life, her husband, after forty-two years of marriage. Afterwards, she lived her life for her children and grandchildren…until she decided to live again for herself. This meant returning to the dating scene. But first she had to learn how to do so. Would she meet a new "Mr. Right?" Dating proves to be easier said than done after she meets a new interest and her family is in an uproar. They even take sides! Now Geneva must negotiate the finer points of dating while convincing her children that moving on with her life is a true testament to their father’s love and devotion.

Dr. Mildred Dumas is a novelist and a playwright. She is also an actress of stage, screen and television. Some of her movie credits include Lady Killers, The Hustle, and Chasing Papi. She is best remembered as Principle Brandywine on Nickelodeon's Unfabulous Show. They have produced some of her plays in theaters around the country. Her play, When the past comes back...(drama about sorority hazing), received seven N.A.A.C.P., Theater Award Nominations in 2001. Dr. Dumas is also a Naturopathic Doctor and has penned a book on natural healing; God's Diet for His People. Dr. Dumas lives in Southern California.
