As an author myself, I know how intimidating, scary and frustrating it can be to have something burning on the inside and then nothing. You choose to ignore it; you start with one page and then quit. You get through several chapters and get writer's block. By the way, there's no such thing as being blocked, but it's a process to get past because you don't know what should come next.
I've been there and trust me, it's not always easy to get through, but you get through it because the passion of what you are writing continues to call to you, "FINISH ME." Or you were like me and wrote many manuscripts for them to sit on the shelf and you do nothing with them until one day, someone else that' close to you does what you wanted to do all along.
By no means is writing easy. Writing a book period, and following through to the end is not always easy. I had all the books that needed to get out of me. If nothing else, I wanted to share them with the world. Not only the imagination or the dreams God had given me to write but to see them to completion and published.
Understanding the writing process
Writing — whether fiction, devotional, prayer study, or non-fiction, takes imagination, commitment, time and energy. Carve out time in your already busy schedule to focus an hour to three hours a day on this project that is burning a hole in your brain.
There are some basic things to think about:
Are you a Pantser or an Outliner?
Do you already have characters or scriptures or the real people you want to talk about?
Do you write out your manuscript before transferring it to the computer or you go straight to the computer and write?
How much research have you done on the subject?
Have you looked at your schedule to see where you can carve out time?
Do you know what genre you want to write in?
Do you have a support group who can cheer you on through this process.
In the next couple of weeks, I will start a new writing and editing program you can do self-paced and in the next 6 months do a class with yours truly.
I have been working diligently preparing these courses, and would love to see you take part. Below are the course titles and what to expect.

The 8-Step Path from First Draft to Polished Writing
Each Course will have 3 Lessons to Complete:
Course 1 - How to Get Started Writing Your Book (Even if You Are Afraid It's Bad)
Lesson 1: Permission to write badly
Lesson 2: Setting Small Word Goals
Lesson 3: Creating a writing routine that sticks.
Course 2 - Outlining for Non-Plotters: Simple Structures That Save You During Edits
